About Ferry Almanac

Ferry Almanac started as a passion project to map out ferry routes in the Baltic Sea region. After years of traveling between Helsinki, Stockholm, and Tallinn, we realized there wasn't a good central resource that listed all the routes, operators, and schedules in one place.

What We Cover

Right now we focus on Northern Europe, particularly the Baltic Sea: Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Latvia, and Lithuania. That's where most of the traffic is, and frankly, where we spend most of our time.

We track:

  • Active ferry routes and which operators run them
  • Historical routes that are no longer in service
  • Basic schedule patterns and seasonal variations
  • Direct booking links where available
  • Key ports and terminals
  • Information about the ferry operators

The long-term goal is to expand coverage to ferry routes in the rest of Europe, and eventually ferry routes worldwide. But we're starting with what we know best - Northern Europe. We want to focus on providing quality information over quantity, so that we can be a trusted resource for ferry travelers.
